iNSERTING NEW SYMBOLS

  1. I am trying to insert new symbols that I have created... they are blocks but
    I do not know how to bring them in the libraries of AutoCAD... could
    somebody help me..

  3. You know like if I want to have a different tree symbol... how do I

    What I am getting is that you have a Block for a tree in your drawing and
    want to use a different symbol for that tree. If that is the case, you can
    do one of the following and it should work.

    If you have express tools, use the BLOCKS-Replace Block witn another.

    If not, you can create a new block with the same name as the one you want to
    replace and just simply insert th new block and hit "YES" wen it asks if you
    want to re-define.

    Consider setting up your own "library" using Construction Specifications Institute 16 Division numbering system as major folder names and individual spec section numbers within each folder to classify your blocks. More info on numbering system is available at csinet.org.

    I have a considerable number of blocks I use regularly. Send me a e-mail if you want more info.
