I am having problems with the InsertBlock method in one computer. The same procedure works fine in the other computers in the office, as it has been working since ever. Now I am getting this "Filer Error" and I can't figure out why. I created a test procedure(same structure) on the machine in question and it worked fine, so I don't know what is going on. I checked previous posts and it seems like there has been some problems with this method. Has something been done about it? Is there a solution or workaround? AutoCAD 2004 on XP. Thanks for any help.

  2. If you are on a network you might check for mapped drive letters not
    matching up.
Also it could be that support paths are different on the problem machine.

Thank you Mark. I found the problem, it was the Thumbnailcontrol.ocx which was used to select the block to be inserted. I was using a newer version on the dvb, and the user had the older version of the control without me knowing it. I had some problems with that control when we moved to AC 2004, so I changed the dvb and installed the newer version (1.9). The interesting thing is that this time the program was failing on the insertblock method with the "Filer Error". The first time, the problem was that the preview image was not clear and had a white background, so I couldn't link the problem to the control this time and as the last resort I checked the control and that was it.
