(InfoSnap V8) -- Release Candidate 1 -- the major overhaul finished

Finally we reached the gates

The last minute changes in short:

Release Candidate 1 -- 31 July 2003

- Changed the method of relocating InfoSnap popup with the cursor. The new behavior is much better
conforming to the Windows GUI standard.

- Fixed bug causing incorrect value being displayed for the Element Fill Color in AccuSnap balloon
when no fill was present (discovered first by Larry Whitt).

- Digitally signed InfoSnap executables

There is a bug problem:

When place cusor or move cusor over to text area, it cause the
microstation to crease to fault error.

I'm unsure what do you mean by "text area", but if you mean the WYSIWYG Text Editor
dialog box, yes, it is a known problem with a workaround documented in delivered
DoubleBump example settings file.

If you mean something else, please provide the necessary step-by-step details so it
can be reproduced and fixed.

Here are the simple what I did.

1. Open Microstation (with accuSnap on)(also check with accuSnap off)
2. mdl load infosnap (v8)
3. slide cursor over element (no button select).
1. element hilight (line) with infosnap information (long box)
2. element hilight ( block) (infosnap dialog popup information)
(long box)
-> 3. element hilight (text) (infosnap dialog popup information
[sometime blank]) (long box)
a. error dialog box came up. (microstation lockup)(it create
error log)
b. select abort (to exit microstation)

If you need error log file, let me know and will sent you the file.

Whenever I slide over the text with AccuSnap or snap to text element
(AccuSnap off), it cause the error dialog box comeup (also the
microstation lock up)
It seem the only problem with text element in dgn file.
I had nothing to do with text editor.

Sorry about this second posting
For V8 only.
I have found the solution:

Go to AccuSnap settings box.
remove check box on Pop-up Info.

Now the text element hilight working with no lockup.

Is seem to be the problem with Pop-up Info dialog box with text
element whenever using InfoSnap.

Just turn "Pop-up Info" off in AccuSnap Setting. Everything work find.

You might want to fix this problem or post the help under "Trouble
shooting" or "Installation and fine tuning"

Hi Ray,

I have reproduced this. It was a bug triggered by enabling *all* options in
A.S.Toggles and AutoSnapping to text element.

The fix will be in Release Candidate 2.
