Is there a way to update Microstation SE so it can import more recent
    DWG/DXF files that R11/12 ?

I'm interested in importing Autocad 2000 and 2004 files.

    Thanks.

(I currently have version 5.7.0.0 of the Microstation SE Import/Export
    tool.)

  2. The way to do that would be to upgrade to MicroStation V8.

    Julien,
Phil and his boys would really appreciate if you'd upgrade to their
software. It is the only way they keep in business. The fact is
Microstation V8 upgrade is nothing but a beta software the microstation
puts out and lets the world test it for them so that we the user can
solve all their problems. The thing they love about it the most is they
in order to participate in the little game you have to upgrade to
Select Service and pay to be the Beta test service for bently and then
wait for the next patch to get anything addressed.

But to answer your question directly, the best way to do it with your
version of microstation is to save as r 14 in autocad and have someone
open it in r14 and save it. because it will not open it with the
versions of SE that they have. Hopefully this will help and all us many
Microstation users will fill the pockets of Phil and his gang.
