I'm designing a bicycle accessory and need a generic-looking mountain
bike to use as a backdrop. Since modeling a bike would take me a long
time, I purchased a CAD model from these guys:
    http://www.3dcadbrowser.com/

3dcadbrowser.com has over 3000 good-looking models for download and
the prices are reasonable ($10/model). I got several of a mountain
bike in .dxf, .3ds and .wrl however, try as I might, I can't get any
of them to import properly into SolidWorks (2003).

Does anyone have tips on how to work with models from
3dcadbrowser.com? Could Rhino be used as an intermediary to get them
    imported?

Failing that, is there anywhere I can get hold of a decent looking
    mountain bike in SolidWorks?

    Thanks

    Peter,

Most of those models are polymesh, which are pretty useless for SW.

They do have a few NURBS IGES files which should, at least, import as real
    surfaces.
