I don't know what it stands for, but I'm assuming "rmb" means to right-click
on the particular newsgroup on the left (assuming your tree structure is on
the left, as it is by default). What you're doing is simply resetting the
group, not uninstalling OE (don't know if Microsoft even allows that :).
It clears the cache you have locally on your machine and then you can
re-download all the latest headers. A pain, yes, but necessary if you need
    the posts that are missing.

    Hi Anne,

Sorry I disappeared for a couple of days. Is "rmb on the group, and go to
Properties >> Local Files Tab >> Reset." all you mean by "delete nntp"?
IOW, do you mean just to reset the group within the reader, or un/re install
the entire reader itself, or something even deeper in the system than that?

I have no problem with getting more info from another group, I just don't
even understand yet what I would be asking. Aside from simply
loading/operating the reader program, I am nntp(/nttp?) illiterate. I also
searched a little on the subject, but to no avail.

    Thank you,

    James

See Joshua's answer of this morning. Yes RMB means right mouse
button which will bring up a drop down menu. No you do not remove
Outlook Express, only clear the old cache of messages from your
    own computer and reload the.

I suggest you go to these sites for more information on OE -
more information may be found at msnews.microsoft.com
    /microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress or at
    "Inside Outlook Express" at http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/

    Amit -

Gary thought you were another discussion group user. Just ignore
the comment as it doesn't apply to your question.
