Image in a Drawing file?

Discussion in 'SolidWorks' started by Chris Bourgeois, May 1, 2007.

  1. Ok, I have pasted an image that I got from an Image program. It shows
up fine on the drawing, but I can not have ANYTHING over it. It is
always in the "Front" even when I "send it to back". Has anyone had
    any luck with this?
I want to put ballon leaders pointing to some of thin things in the
    image.

    I am using 2007 sp3.0

    Chris,

As far as I know, this is how SolidWorks handles OLE insertions. The
image will always be foward to anything on the drawing. If the image
is simple enough, I've use "{" to identify the area I'm talking about
from the edge of the image, then have a good note description.
Otherwise, you'll need to redraw the image as lines (not always
possible of course). If someone has a solution to pushing images to
the back of objects on a drawing, I too am interested.
