Having some issues with a meg file. Blocking out a couple lines creates a
.... 2 meg file. Also purged. Tried copy/paste to a new file. It managed to
paste the 2 meg. Looked at the included things in ... Design Thingie (sorry)
and didn't notice anything interesting floating around. The entities we are
interested in advertise themselves as lines. We finally got the bit that we
wanted down to 60k of actual data by exporting to wmf, inserting to a new
drawing, exploding the wmf and replacing the text with actual text.

I had a look at a dxf of the 2meg in note pad and... remembered how long ago
it was that I knew anything about dxf ;-). There IS a lot of stuff in there.
    Couldn't quite identify it.

xref, block and image lists are empty (OK, there is DIMTICK inblock).

Running out of ideas. It may have been infected by an engineer, but not with
    anything visible.

I gotta go check another computer then I'm going to look at the web.
Meantime, if anybody comes up with next steps in curing problem, we'd be
    keen.

I would guess that the huge file contain lots of hatching or contour
lines or both. For thinning out contour lines I use fixline.lsp which
    is readily
available at numerous website. Purge the drawing and save. I am sure
the huge file is reduce to 60 percent or less.

    Good Luck
