HP5100 not usable

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Jan van de Poel, Jan 6, 2004.

  1. Hi,
    strange prob here.
We are using Autocad 2002 with win98 and win-XP-pro.
Got an HP5000 laserprinter, works with all different systems.
On our second floor we are now using an HP5100 laserprinter.
Works fine with win98/autocad, but refuses to work with XP/autocad.

All goes well when creating PC3 files, when they are created and you click
the PC3 file (for editing) an popup appears
stating "default media size invalid" you are unable to open the file.
The same popup appears when trying to use this PC3 for printing.

Anyone an idea to get this solved?

  2. I know.
We already have different PC3 files for each OS.
Problem is, when PC3's are created for the HP5100 (with XP-pro), they don't
    function.!

    Really wonder why.
