I am trying to print on 11x17 paper using AutoDesk and also Autocad.
This worked fine until a few days ago. Now the process gets stuck when
sending to the printer. The printer does a lot of small movments and
then spits the paper out with nothing printed. I reinstalled the latest
drivers from HP. Printing is fine in other applications. If anyone else
has had this kind of a problem and resolved I would really like to hear
    about it.

Yes, it sounds like you are having a similar problem. My printer does a
lot of little movements as well. I was thinking maybe it is the media
width sensor that needs to be disabled in the Printer Properties
dialogue box under Preferences. That is if you have an HP DeskJet 1220C
or similar model. There is more than one location this preference
occurs and needs to be disabled in each location to allow the printer
to accept the 11x17 width. This is just a guess. Good luck. Let me know
    if it works!

Hi, disabling the width sensor in the printing preferences of the HP
Printer dialogue boxes (both in the printer settings accessed from the
start button and from the Autocad program) made it possible to print
    11x17 for me. Good luck!!!
