The Problem: All of a sudden we're experiencing plots that randomly leave text and linework off. Every plots seams to produce different results including only plotting 1/3 of the drawing randomly in all areas. Our 750C which uses the same driver works great. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

It could be a plotter memory problem, had similar thing happen with a HP600.
I think you can run a test on the plotter which will test the memory. Also,
have you tried running the plotters test page, if so how does it plot?

  3. Hi Randy,

As pointed out by Tom it could be memory. I have also seen this with
communications problems. Check all your cabling and make sure it's in good
condition and working. You may even want to move the DesignJet to a local
Parallel port and test that way to see if the problem goes away. If it does
then the problem could be cabling or the network setup.

You may also be able to find out more on the HP WEB Site...

    Hope this helps.

    HI Randy

    Are you in Joliet?

Seeing the "from" name and yours just peaked my curiosity.

    Correct! This must be R.A.R.?

The solution ended being (from our network guy) recreate NDPS printer agent. Changed IP address. Increased Time out to 60 from 30. Config. agent to generic PCL(PJL). This was all going to be my next suggestion! ;) Printing directly from CPU to printer worked so it narrowed it down to network communication.
