    I have aproblem here:

WinXP-pro, HP DesignJet 450c and fully updated ACAD2000.
The problem is that plotter only prints what is BLACK in pen
assignments. What is color is not printed at all. Not grayscale.
    Black or nothing...
I suspect autocad in doing this, since anything color printed from
other apps [word, coreldraw, photoshop] is all right.

So drivers should be ok. Tried to reinstall reconfigure to no avail.
    What should i do ?

    Thanks...

make a separate pc3 file and turn on color in custom properties, make a
color ctb file. Your pen colors now might be set to all black

That is exactly the problem - CTB's are ok.
Everything is tripplechecked before posting it here.

    CTB's ok.
    Drivers reinstalled.
    Tried different sets of drivers.

Sometimes it would work, but the next day i have the same
    problem again.

It starts to look like a printer fault [hardware].

I have just reinstalled drivers again, problem is gone for now,
but i'm pretty sure i'll have it back by tomorrow...

I just cant seem to point a finger at the problem... ???

    Any thoughts about this ???
    desperate.......

I have had the same annoying problem with the same plotter but with
    AutoCad 2002. It's probably not a hardware problem (I hope - difficult
to get spares for this old dog) as it plot perfect from other
    programs.

I don't have fix for you, but when this happens I load up a small
piece of paper (Eurpean A4) and make a color test plot (push "reprint"
and "cancel" at the same time), this somehow turns on the color and
the plotter plots fine the rest of the day.
