when I print from model space to the 1050c everything in autocad seems to be fine but nothing goes to the plotter, and I know the plotter works because when I use the 800 drivers it works, but ortho photos don't work to well with the 800 drivers. I've seen the same problem on the print plot disscussion board just wondering if anyone has got a better fix than the 800 drivers

The only fix I know of is to set the 1050C driver to process memory "in
    computer".

do you know if autodesk will fix this, because if you process it in the computer it prints so slow

I've got a feeling a lot of things won't get fixed until the next release -
'gotta justify that subscription price somehow...

I hope not because it is really causing problems here, I would hope they don't wait that long, or I hope hp can update there drivers or whatever would make it work

I don't agree with your statement above that processing "in computer" is
slower than "in printer". We use a 1050c and plot 10-20 Arch D size photos
a week and at least with our network setup by selecting process "in
computer" prints MUCH FASTER than "in printer". I know that there is a HP
dialog box that pops up stating the opposite by in practice I don't think
this is true. I don't know for sure but I suspect that the HP dialog box is
left over from slower network connection days.

  7. Hello,

Actually in many cases Process In Computer is faster. Now many years ago
when the DesignJets had faster ram then Computers this was true. But not so
much these days. Actually HP will tell you to process in computer and
bypass the server spooler to speed up lots on very large files in
applications like AutoCAD, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, the list goes on. So that
good news is that it's actually faster.

Also we are looking at what caused this to break and it's only in MAP and
LDT 2005. But I'll pass on your concerns to this team about a fix. But for
now I would keep the system set to Process in Computer.

    Hope this helps.
