How would you do this type of protrusion?

    Neil:

    If you don't mind please send me your file so I can take a look at your
    approach. The other 2 technics require knowledge in surfacing

    Muggs:

    Your approach seems to be my best bet so far. However, it involves in
    surfacing technics (surface offseting, extrusion, trim, thicken etc)
    that I am not too familiar with yet. Thank for showing me some very
    useful surfacing technic here.

    Paul Salvador:

    Your approack (combination of surfacing and solid technic) could be a
    viable solution as well if I can find a way to fix the failed shell
    feature and make the front and side not shellable. I am wondering
    after combining the 2 bodies, is there a way to thicken the inside
    surface instead of creating shell?
