How do you import? What file extension you are looking to import and from which folder or location?

Once I have setup my plotting layout on one drawing; how do I import that from a new drawing that I don't have a setup yet?

    Here's one way:
If you are using ACAD2000 or later, try using Designcenter. If you don't know where the Designcenter toolbar button is, Type ADCENTER at command prompt. From within the Designcenter window, Double click your drawing with the layout you want; Now select Layout; Drag and drop the desired Layout to the drawing you want to put it in.

Thanks for your reply. I think I am getting close to the solution.

I did opened the design center. It shows 2 windows, it seems the one on the left is the directory and the one on the right is my selection. It has Blocks, Dimstyles, Layers, Layout, etc. I tried to drag the layout to another dwg on the left window but it didn't work. How exactly do you do it.

And can you drag it to multiple dwgs at one time?

    Thanks.

  4. The "import" is for importing a "page setup name" from another drawing for
    use in your current drawing.
When you select import, it gives you a file dialogue box that you can browse
to a drawing that contains the desired "page setup name". Select the file
and you will get a list of the saved "page setup names" from which you can
    select.
