How can I produce a color plot of a 3d file in a color rendered format? All
I have been able to produce is a color wireframe.

    thanks........

You have to save the rendered view as an image. Then open the image using
any image editing program and print it.
Or attach the image by raster manager to a microstation model and plot this
    view.

  3. In MicroStation /J you have to go to Settings > Rendering > View Attributes
dialog, change the default Wire Frame, to Phong. The results of doing this
    are in the Plot Preview.

    This should work.

Try Settings > Rendering > View Attributes
Select the View Number and then the display type
    then apply
This should give what you need
