I have an HP Destjet 9650 printer and am using Acad 2005. I can generate a
PLT file, but how do I print it?

    I use Govert's GoPlot

Do a Google search to find.

Why not print directly to the printer??

While waiting to see if one of your peers answers, try a search
on the past messages as this is a very often asked question.

The discussion group search engine provides flexibility for
searching through existing message content. To search:

    1. Go to http://discussion.autodesk.com/

    2. Select a product (Example: AutoCAD, then choose print/plot
    under that header)

    3. Type your keywords into the search box and click Search. I
used "plt to print" without the "" and got 112 groups of messages
    to review.

Note: You can further refine your query by selecting a specific
discussion group from the dropdown provided. Your group choices
will vary in the drop down, based on where you have navigated on
    the discussion group site.

Search results are sorted by relevance (a complex query of all
relevant content based on your keywords and group choices).
Clicking on the message result will display the entire thread
(the series of messages and replies). Clicking on the Post date
will sort the results by date with most recent first.

    Hi Ron,

    It is very simple.
Connect the LPT1 port with a network printer.
    Example: Net Use LPT1:\\servername\printername
The next step is copying the plt files to lpt1
    Example: Copy *.plt lpt1:
Don't forget disconnect lpt1 from the server.
    Exemple: Net use /delete pt:
