I was adjusting my CommandManager when it disappeared. It's still active,
but I can't see it. Is there a way to get it back?

Not so Mr. G. A couple of toolbars disappear when the CommandManager is
turned on, yet nothing appears. BTW, where is the option for "show
    descriptions"?

  3. If you do a RMB on one of the CommandManager buttons, there is an option to
"Show Description." Toggling this will show/turn off the words under the
icons. When turned off, they look very similar to toolbars. However, it's
still the active CommandManager - look at the LH end. This may be what you
    are referring to.

Good idea. No dice though. There really is no visible CommandManager even
though SolidWorks thinks it's on. I think it's either off the screen or so
small that I can't see it. I couldn't find the setting in the registry,
however, I don't know where to look. I did a search for CommandManager.
Nothing regarding this setting showed up.

    Thanks

  5. I wonder if that is what "align icons" is for, under the windows menu. To
find lost icons that somehow got lost.

That didn't work either. Thanks for the try.

Have you tried deleting the current user interface key from the SolidWorks
    area of the registry?

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2004\User Interface

You could hunt it down more specifically if you have the time.

Remember that if you go effing around with your registry, make sure you
    back it up first.

  8. How about providing some screen shots - maybe we can "see" something we're
missing. The problem here is that mine seems to work just fine & I can't
    get it to misbehave.

I'll make two new posts that will follow in order to keep the file size
down. The first will be with the CommandManager off.

Apparently I can't send attachments using Outlook Express.

I'll give it a shot. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

  12. You have to post them somewhere and then give us the link. This newsgroup
    takes only text messages.

Thanks for the help. Deleting the user interface in the registry worked.
