how do you make a decent jpeg

    The jpeg format isn't intended for vector graphics. You'd be better off
    using PDF.

    do a search for "ghostview" - a free combination of utilities that lets you
    plot to an eps file and then convert to a variety of formats including jpeg.
    you have great contol over resolution, page size, and so forth. Paul's
    commment above is valid however, sometimes you need a jpg or png (powerpoint
    presentation for example).

    have always found Raster File Plotter to be completely inadequate for decent
    graphics

  5. Thanks guys, turns out this contractor thought everything that wasn't a text
    document was a jpeg. He can read dwg's and pdf's. aarrrrrgh :(

    nah - probably just got up on the wrong side of the bed. Dean consistantly
    provides good help and valuable insights to many people in these various
    discussion groups. His company has some really good stuff, too.
