How do I connect?

I'm switching from fastcad to autocad, in fastcad there is a handy
command called connect where you specify two points on an object (or
set of objects) then any other two points in the drawing, the command
then moves, scales, and rotates the object so the two sets of points
are connected. How do you do this in AutoCad?

  2. This would be a fairly simple lisp routine, but 'out of the box' there's
nothing close. To do this you would have to perform a MOVE, a ROTATE, and a
    SCALE.

What kind of work are you doing?

Bummer, autocad lt seems really strip -down basic. I'm designing a
    guitar.

  5. A new AutoCAD license, just out of the box, for the new user working in
isolation is an existential situation. LISP will only work in *LT* with an
    'add on", BTW.

I do this using the ALIGN command.

What you describe is the ._ALIGN command. Yes, OOTB.
    No lisp required.

  8. Well, I'll be damned.

Coming from MiniCAD, which had a powerful ALIGN command, I could never make
out what acad's ALIGN *did*( it didn't do what I wanted it to), so I gave up
on it immediately, and put it out of my mind.

You never stop learning this app.

I seem to having trouble finding the ALIGN command, is it part of
    Autocad LT 2007

    Thanks
