How can both a 1055 and 5500 be used ?

We have just added a designjet 5500ps-uv to the stable and I'm frustrated by the inability to get it to plot dwgs anything like the 755 or 1055. Using LD3/2002. Plenty of civil dwgs and aerial photos being printed. If anyone has resolved making the 5500 work alongside a 1055 in an autocad environment, please shed some light.
    thanks

Not knowing the specific problem, I don't have a definitive suggestion.

I did encounter some minor problems when we graduated from a HP600 to a 1050C. It came down to creating separate .pc3 files for each plotter.

For me the dj600 and dj1055 plot very similar from AutoCAD. I have had dj600/dj650/dj750/dj755/dj1055 all work well together with only minor differences in color mapping and screening. The dj5500 has a completely different interpretation of life. I'll use chroma.dwg for reference. I have been unable to get the colors on chroma.dwg to get even close. When the 5500 is set to anything other than max-speed, the black screens 250-255 appear blue-gray. Max-speed [draftmode?] on the 5500 is similar in speed to the 1055, but it is very poor quality. The 1055 draft mode is very good. The 5500's four other print modes above max-speed are significantly slower than the 1055. The color mapping and speed issues have kept us from ever getting to page size or margin issues. No one here or at HP support has been able to get the AutoCAD screen colors to match the 5500's output. Kind of makes it tough to use.

    Any update about this?
I have an HP 2500 cp and the color in AutoCAD is good
(grey is grey - not composite grey)
I was thinking to add a HP 5500 but if the match of AutoCAD
colors is not good , this prevent us from use it !!

    Thanks.
