Horizontal scaling

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Henry jackowski, Oct 8, 2003.

  1. I am new to Autocad so pardon me if this is a trivial question
I am drawing elevations and need to scale objects on the x axis only.
The only way I have found to do this is to create a block and insert
    the block.
The problem I have is I can no longer clip (cut) the inserted object
because it is now a single object.
Is there a way to remove the block on an existing object in the
drawing or is there a better way to scale on the x axis only.

    I am using autocad 2002.

    Henry

    Thank you

There is a lisp routine called xscale.lsp on my download page
give that a try, it worked in R14 and I think I've used it in 2000

    Hope this helps
