    Hi all !

I have what is probably an easy question, when I put a sketch on to a template using the layout wizard I get a Viewport box around my sketch. I would like to print the page though without showing the box outline. How do I do that? Thank you in advance.

You can turn off what you refer to as the viewport box. This is done by
opening the Layer Manager, or using the Layer Properties drop down list.
Just highlight the Viewport box, click on the Layer Properties drop down
list and click on the far left yellow light bulb on the layer for the
Viewport Box. If you know how to make a new layer, make one and call it
vport. Put the Viewport Box on that layer.

You can also leave the viewport layer turned on, so you can see it, and open
the Layer Manager Dialog Box. On the extreme right side, you can click on
the printer icon for the Viewport Layer, and this will make the Viewport
Layer a NO Plot layer. You will see it on your monitor, but it will not
plot. It will not appear on the Plot Preview.

You can also turn off the automatic creation of a viewport on a new layout
in the OPTIONS dialog box. Open the Display TAB and uncheck the box at the
bottom left side: Create viewport in new layouts.

If you are placing your sketch directly onto PaperSpace in the new layout,
you can erase the Viewport Box. If you are placing the sketch in
ModelSpace, do not erase the Viewport Box.

To keep it simple, I always use "defpoints" for this. Goes way back, but
the "defpoints" layer does not print.
