Hi: I'm using AutoCAD 2005. I normally can zoom in on an object by using the scroll wheel on my mouse, but now I've done something and when I use the scroll wheel, the drawing scrolls up and down. The weird thing is that when I have several drawings open, some zoom with the scroll wheel and some move up and down so it must be a 'per drawing' setting but I can't find it. Can anyone help? Thanks. --
unless you've configured your intellimouse for AutoCAD 2004 and forgot to do the same for 2005. The scrolling behavior is usually attributatable to the middle button assignment in mouse properties (access through control panel). You'll want to set the middle button assignment to 'middle button' and check the 'use office 97 compatible scrolling' Also set the number of scrolling lines to 0...oh yea......turn off the scroll bars if you havce them on.
Hi Parish: Thanks for your note. I don't see how it could be a mouse setting since the zoom/scroll behaviour is different for drawings that I have open at the same time. The other thing is that this behaviour started while I was working on a drawing - I hadn't made any changes to the mouse configuration. In any case, I'm not using an intelli mouse, I'm using a Logitech mouse and there's no individual program settings. Thanks for the advice anyway. --
