Help file organization

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Jason Piercey, Jul 28, 2003.

  1. I am currently using the following format within
a .chm file for my own personal functions.

    Functions

    Categorized

    ActiveX
    xxxxx
    xxxxx

    Vanilla
    xxxxx
    xxxxx

    Alphabetical

    ActiveX
    A
    B

    Vanilla
    A
    B

I keep my help files (.htm) stored in the "master"
location and use a lisp rountine to copy them to a
different folder structure (noted above) then run
the new structure through the FAR compiler. Works
pretty good, except that since there are mutiple
copies of the same .htm file (one 1 categorized,
and 1 in alphabetical) within the Index tab of the
..chm file double clicking on topic displays 2 of the
    same topic to pick from.

Not a real big deal, but was curious how are others
here dealing with help file creation/structure ?
