Has anyone else noticed the Best Practice Guide goes nowhere?

Essentially, despite what we were promised when it was rolled out, it is
still nothing more than a set of links to pre-existing information. But
wait, there's less: some of those links don't even work properly, and others
wouldn't go anywhere useful even if they did, and nothing has been done
about it, all this time later.

I hate getting depressed alone, so indulge me: Try getting information on
    Surfacing.

You will cheerfully be told there is an introduction, and "additional
references" can be accessed by clicking on two links, respectively called
    Surfacing FAQs
    Surfacing Tips

The introduction simply does not exist. It's a triumph of good intentions
over effectiveness. It would appear that they forgot to write it.

Click on either of the so-called "additional references" -- it doesn't
matter which; you get the same (wrong) result:

<<Please note that page you request has moved.
    The new location is
    http://www.solidworks.com/pages/ser...nowledgeBase.html?type=tt&topic=Sheetmetal.>>
    (sic- not Surfacing)

    You should be redirected automatically.

You are redirected, to a generic KB search page.

OK, so it's wrong, but at least it didn't take you all the way to
    sheetmetal, so, what's your problem?:

Type in "surfacing" and do a search

    The underwhelming result:

    <<Total documents searched: 829
0 documents matched your search criteria.>>

Ten minutes later you emerge, shaking your head. The entire Surfacing topic
of the Best Practice Guide contains, and leads to, precisely Nothing. Nada.
    Zip. Zilch.

This would be (marginally) acceptable if the thing had just been launched.
This far down the track, this turns out to be another frustrating
demonstration of SolidWorks' superb skills at starting things, and minimal
    skills at finishing them.
This is not surprising, in view of the fact they give themselves so little
practice. By the same reasoning, this situation is not likely to improve.
They appear to spread themselves so thinly starting new stuff they've no
resources left to finish old stuff. And the more new stuff they start, the
    worse it gets.

    What a waste!

This was noticed long ago long ago by many who implemented the best practice
of not using the Best Practice Guide (TM). LOL

I would recomment the best practice of turning those non-working links into
your VAR to obtain SPRs so they can be fixed; or even better put in an
enhancement request and become a team player.

On a more practical note, I think there is a way to download the entire
knowledge base for local search. This saves the time of logging on
(especially over a slow or high latency connection).
