There is a Handle property to each object inside AutoCAD and as per AutoDesk it is unique in a drawing. But do any body know what happens to the handle of an entity, if that entity is deleted. Is its Handle becomes a candidate for new entity or will never be used. If it becomes a candidate then how it is checked which handle is to use and which to not?

    Thanks in Advance?

  2. It is *not* reused in the drawing.

    Robert,

Thanks for your input. I was using the handle assuming that it is unique but instantly came in mind wat about a handle of object if it is deleted. If re-used then my logic will fail.

    Thanks again
