graphics card performance comparison

    was browsing the net and found some info someone building/buying a workstn
    for SW might like to look at..

    Neil,

    Very good info in the graphics card section.

    We used to use 3Dlabs cards back in the day. They really dropped (and
    flattened, and shit on) the ball with their VP stuff. Made me switch to
    Nvidia.

    Looks like their Realizm line may be worth taking a look at. The 100 is
    about US $600.00 or less.

    Thanks Neil, great link, I even signed up for the Free sub, as I live in the
    UK :) Yer!
    It was a shame that on their hard disk comparison, they didn't include Sata.
    I was thinking about getting some new systems using the Pci Express cards,
    but after reading the comparison, I will wait, unless someone is willing to
    give me a Realism 200 card for free!, lol
    Talking about graphic cards, I downloaded the lastest nvidia driver for my
    900xgl and it "locks" the realview on!
    This slows down my PC, so I had to revert back to the old driver. When I
    spoke to my VAR, they replied that I shouldn't use the latest drivers, only
    the certified "OLD"ones.
    That's pants! :-(
