This is a bit off topic but I'll ask anyway. I am getting graph paper with
our logo and company info professionally printed. Does anyone know of a
color I can make the grid lines so we can see them while drawing on the
paper but won't show up when faxed? Right now the medium gray grid lines
become solid black when faxed and makes the fax almost unreadable. I was
thinking a very light grey or yellow.

    Any ideas??

We have the grid printed on the backside of the paper. It works great
for photocopying or faxing. Two sided printing (all black) may not
be less expensive than one side color printing, but eliminating the
grid lines when faxing was the main objective.

I think you will find that the old blue colour does not work with the
newer copiers. The old dye line copiers used UV light to expose the
paper and this is why the blue leads were "invisible" to it. Before CAD
became popular, some of the copiers required using a yellow coloured
lead to produce the same effect. The problem was that yellow was
    difficult to see anyway.

I do not now what the current copiers will see as "invisible".

I did some testing with varying shades of light blue. The color I found to
work the best is Pantone S246-9 CSV. This color completely disappears when
photocopied and only leaves occasional random dots when faxed. Keep in mind
this was printed on a Canon inkjet printer and professionally printed
material will vary. I printed a block of color so when I go to get this
printed I can match the printer's Pantone color swatches.

    Thanks for your help.

FYI, in case anyone is interested, Pantone 7457 is the closest we could
    come.
