Glyth's

  1. Has anyone written any code to delete Glyths, or unknown Unicodes ? There a
    real pain.

    i dont understand

    are you talking about a custom font ?
    what is an unknown unicode? all unicodes can be known
    are you talking about autocad?
    do you mean glyph?
    glyphs dont do anything, how can they be a pain?

  3. If you recieve a drawing from another company, which contains custom font.
    We don't have a copy of this custom font. And in 2004 we get a message "**
    Undefined Shape" or 2005 the glyth message. What I'd like to know is if
    someone has written code to remove any Text with undefined shapes, or
    replace the undefined shapes with a reconised symbol.

    Your best bet is to simply ask the originator of the drawing to send you a
    copy of their special font file(s).

  5. Yeh, That alright if you know where the drawing come from, but often we are
    third or fourth on the issue of drawings.

  6. Hi Greg,

    As far as you are concerned the "originator" is the guy who supplied you
    with the drawing. He can trace back to his source etc.
