Ghost of text appears on plot

    We have a problem with text in model space, when we go to plot preview the text looks ok but when i see the plotted drawing we have ghost text which appears all over the drawing. Why does it do this, will it be anything to do with having more than viewports in paperspace, problems with the plotter(memory).

    We use AutoCAD 2000 on Window 2000 with a HP Designjet 500

    Any ideas please
