I was wondering if some people could advise me on AutoCAD.

What format are AutoCAD print spools in? And should there be a plot.log for each print? I've checked in several locations and I can't seem to come up with many plot.log files.

Are there Spool files I can access?

    Thanks in advanced.

AutoCAD sends data to printers and plotters in the language required for the
particular printer; when plotting to file, the same is true, so the answer
to your first question is "it depends."

Plot logging can be enabled or disabled at the user's discretion, so you
won't find any plot logs unless logging is enabled.

    I appreicate the info.

One other question.. even though it probably should be answered else were.

Is there a way to tell what workstation/user originally created the file from within the autocad file? Currently I am using VoloView to view the files and other than what the user inputed I can't tell much. Just didnt know if there was any imbeded info like Microsoft loves to do.

    Thanks again.

Didn't Autodesk consider embedding such information into the dwg file a few
versions back? Like, maybe back with R14? I seem to remember a big user
uproar about it causing Adesk to drop the idea.
