Floating model space

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Rodney Crowley, Mar 8, 2005.

  1. Is there system variable for floating model space? I am looking for a way
change from floating model space to model space with the use of system
variables and I cannot find one. I don't want use the papace or mspace
    commands.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Model space viewports don't float so I'm not sure what you're asking.
    Could you please elaborate?

  3. There is obviously an issue with terminology. Sorry for not being clear.
When you are in paper space, I would like to know if a model space viewport
    is active or not.

  4. If paper space is the active space, then
(getvar "cvport") will return 1. Anything
else, and you're in model space regardless
of whether a layout or the model tab is
    currently active.
