When i do a shetch in 3d. I choose a particular view ( Hide mode). Now
can't i flatten the drawing so that it becomes a 2d file of the view.
I can create a dwf by using a E-plot by i cannot create a dwg file of only
rhe view flattened. I hope i am clear.
Like there is Print to raster output can i have print to another dwg file.

Add an 'AutoCAD Dxb file' plotter to your plotter manager,
use this plot driver to create dxb file, then 'dxbin' to your drawing file.

    Try this:
With the view you want to see, do UCS V
    Block the objects
    Return to WCS top view
    Insert the block
    Explode the block
    Flatten and remove hidden lines

This seems exactly what i want. But how do i install it.
When i go to add plotter wizard
It shows only dwf classic and eplot option.
maybe i need to download the drivers.
    I work on Autocad 2000

look into the online help on the sequence of commands: SOLVIEW and then
SOLDRAW. These commands generate stable but adjournable 2d representations
from solid models based on precise view points.

For perspective representations, the only satisfying solution that I have
found is the PDF writer as printer (or other vector capable virtual
printer...) then It is possible to import pdf into dwg and use a vectorial
    drawing.

    Hope this helps.
