Filter paper sizes without PC3

I am using AutoCAD 2004 w/ LDD and I am using the system printers and NOT
    creating PC3 files.
In START > SETTINGS > PRINTERS I am checking that I only want to use the
Arch paper sizes and not all of the JIN, Oversize, etc.

When I get into AutoCAD and go to plot, I see ALL of the paper sizes.
Does anyone have any idea how I can avoid this?

    Thanks for any assistance.

You cannot filter out the unwanted sheet sizes in the Windows System Printers. For
this you must go to Autodesk, select the printer, and then go to properties in either
the page setup, or the plot dialog box. From there you can select the filter option,
and uncheck the unwanted sheet sizes. When you get done it will want to be saved as
a PC3 file. Now you have both a windows printer and an AutoCAD printer, one filtered
and one not filtered, but otherwise could be identical, until someone comes along and
messes with the PC3 file, or creates a new one. My observation about PC3 files is
that they tend to breed new ones over time.

Filtering puts you into the PC3 file business and out of the Windows system printers.

See my suggestion in the other post of yours of the same topic.

Thanks for the input. This is the message that I am going to pass on to the
    guys here.
As far as "breeding" I have found that if set the PMP file location to local
and lock the PC3 file location on the network then you can minimize this
    problem.

    Just my thoughts.

I have also read <the other> post. Thanks
