Fatal error while trying to plot

    I'm in a drawing, ready to plot. I SAVE the dwg, then open up my plot menu. I use the same plotter settings I have used a thousand times before. I use the WINDOW command to select my plot area, and immediately get a FATAL ERROR message as follows: FATAL ERROR:Unhandled Access Violation Writing 0x361b5c5 Exception at 332be7ddh. This happens with different drawings at different times, no pattern seem to be evident. Then the drawing is automatically saved as a "recovered" dwg in the same folder I am using. Please help.
