There was a neat of way of adding a line to the "Accelerators" section of
the .mns file in Acad '00-'04 to change the F1 key from Help to Clear (which
    I did and loved.).
Is there any way of doing it in '06 since doesn't have a .mns file? It is
not one of the choices in the CUI dialog.
    TIA

    Takes about 1 minute.

At the command line, type in CUI
In the upper left portion of the dialog, expand the "Keyboard Shortcuts"
item. You should see "Shortcut Keys" under there.
Now look in the lower left portion, in the "Command List"
Scroll down until you see "CANCEL"
Drag "Cancel" up to "Shortcut Keys" (drop it right on top of the word)
At that point, look over on the top right portion of the main CUI dialog.
Find the just added "Cancel" command.
Highlight it, then click in the second column ("Keys")
Press the F1 key. "F1" will be entered in the field.
Press the OK button on the main dialog.
    You are done.

    Wonderful!
It was the "Press the F1 key." part I didn't know about... thought I was
limited to the visible choices already in the window, which didn't really
    make sense.

We just upgraded from '02 to '06 a couple of days ago and I don't really
know my way around it yet.

    Thank you R.K.

    Thanks.
I had only seen the one for '00 -'04. Didn't know she had updated it.
