    I am using acad 2002 and receive .dxf files that were converted from Unigraphics. The radii have the following properties:

    ARC Layer: "10" Space: Model space Color: 72 Linetype: "Continuous" Handle = 86 center point, X= -0.8851 Y= -2.0528 Z= 0.0000 radius 0.0800 Extrusion direction relative to UCS: X= 0.0000 Y= 0.0000 Z= -1.0000 length 0.1257 total angle 90

    Is there a way to completely eliminate the UCS/Extrusion properties so that when I do a list it looks similar to this (no extrusion information)?:

    ARC Layer: "10" Space: Model space Color: 72 Linetype: "Continuous" Handle = 72 center point, X= 0.1558 Y= -1.3883 Z= 0.0000 radius 0.0800 start angle 0 end angle 82 length 0.1148

    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, John

  2. First thing... when you DXFIN or open the file did you SAVEAS a DWG?
    Second thing...then did you run AUDIT or RECOVER on the DWG?
    Third thing...then resave it?

    I did saveas. I did run AUDIT and tried RECOVER (resaving it after each). They did not remove the Extrusion relative to the UCS. Anything other suggestions? Thanks for the help - John

    can you change this  properties?

    if not, post in customization group, it wouldn't be hard to write a conversion routine for this.

    I have tried the basics to try to change the properties but I am unable to change the Z value. Is there something special I need to do to change the Z value? Or eliminate the UCS properties altogether?

    (Extrusion direction relative to UCS: X= 0.0000 Y= 0.0000 Z= -1.0000)

    there is an express tool - flatten, that might help.  type flayyen at command prompt and see what happens.

    I tried using the flatten command. It does not modify the Z value I need changed. In the example listing below it changes the Z value of the center point. I need to change the Z value of the Extrusion direction relative to UCS. I would like that Z value to be zero. *********************************************
    Command: q list nil
    Select objects: 1 found
    Select objects:
                      ARC Layer: "10"
                                Space: Model space
                       Color: 72 Linetype: "Continuous"
                       LineWeight: 0.00 mm
                       Handle = CE
                center point, X= -1.1840 Y= -2.2928 Z= 0.0000
                radius 0.0800
    Extrusion direction relative to UCS:
                       X= 0.0000 Y= 0.0000 Z= -1.0000
                length 0.1257
                 total angle 90**************************************
    Thanks for the suggestion.
