    Hi,
I have a autocad vba loaded and I want to execute the macro just by
typing the name of the macro (without typing VBARUN then the macro's name)
    How can i do this?
    thanks

  2. You have to create a lisp wrapper. Search the ng because either Ed Jobe or
Mark Propst posted a decent example within the last 2 weeks. If you can't
find it, I can throw something up in the morning for you.

  7. Ignore the web side it [deleted uncomplimentary remarks].

You can trick OE: Forward the message, but don't actually
send it -- just grab file attachments from the message form
(hope that made sense), then cancel the send.

OE won't let me download attachments with a lsp extension, so I went to the web ng and this thread is not there. What's up Anne?

    See the attached file.

You can load via your startup suite, or you can
load it from Acad.lsp (with AcadLspAsDoc = 1) or
    AcadDoc.lsp

It simplifies the process of defining AutoCAD commands
that execute vba macros. Read the instructions, and if
    you have questions, just hollar.

  8. No need to trick OE, just go into the Tools, Options, Security tab, and
    practice responsible computing! ;^)

  9. If I'm not mistaken, that option may be disabled
for some users (i.e. "daddy" has an override).

  10. So true. The data nazis tend to do that, don't they? (Spoken as one of them,
    or so my users complain!)

  11. We are not nazis: we are janitors, and we are
just trying to minimize the amount of mopping
    up we have to do.

Thanks for the tip. That's what I ended up doing. I just tried the web first since I have a shorcut to it. So I was mostly letting Anne know that they have a problem...at least I think they do. :)

  19. Give her a couple days to get used to. There is a lot you can tweak ;-)
Took me about 3 days to go through and get everything set the way I like it
    - and I keep learning new stuff all the time. For example, there is a lower
right window beside the message display that shows a treeview of the
message, the message in its original form and any attachments. Shoot me an
email if you have any q's.
