We have recently upgraded to ACAD 2004 version, but our consultants are still using version 2000. We started using the new eTransmit Utility to package & convert bunch of 2004 files to 2000 format. But we're getting calls from the consultants that they can't open the files :(

So I investigated to check whether the eTransmit is ACTUALLY converting the files or not. And behold, it is NOT!!!

Even though the proper checkbox is checked in the eTransmit Diaolg box, and even though the Transmittal Report says: "All drawing files were converted to AutoCAD 2000/LT2000 format", it is NOT converting the files to ACAD 2000 format.

Anyone else have these problems, and/or anyone knows any fix/solution? Thanks.

Autodesk just released a batch drawing converter. Use that. I believe it is a free download. Check it out through your communication center.

  4. I have seen the e-transmit command fail to convert xref drawings. The base
file converts to the 2000 format and the routine packs up any xrefs, but
does not convert them. Perhaps that is your problem, too. The only
workaround I know is to convert the base drawing and xref's individually.

The only one that I can find is Version 2.11.15.0
