Error printing large TIFF to XES 8830

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by tmorelli-TWFG, Aug 19, 2003.

  1. This is the only time I have had this problem. When I print a file with a TIFF image to my XES 8830 I receive an FATAL ERROR: Out of memory. When I try to create a PDF using one-touch with Acrobat Pro 6.0 I receive "unhandled exception C0000094 (c0000094h) at address 42B758h" as an error. I have 768MB RAM running windows XP. The TIFF file is about 196MB with LYZ compression. The problem only shows up when i am plotting this file through AutoCAD.

I've checked the support site and tried some of the various fixes for other plotting problems and haven't been able to figure it out yet. I would appreciate any help someone could give.

    Thanks,

  2. Thanks for your help so far. I cannot plot to file either. I will look for this option to process file on computer. I believe the XES uses a modified HP driver, although I could be wrong. Where is this setting adjusted on your settings?

  3. I believe this setting is only available in the Windows HP DesignJet
    drivers.

Have you tried another format like TIFF G 4 for you image? (the XES is
monochrome anyway and the image file will be much smaller)

    I guess you went to
    http://downloads.xes.com/AccXES_Family/print_drivers/index.htm
and tried the latest print driver? I use the RTL series version 9.0.3 with an 8825 and don't have this issue. Mind you I see they released version 9.1.3
