We have one dwg file (created from a 3rd party dxf) that when trying to plot to a network printer gives an error message of A Local Printer is Required. This message then gets stuck in a loop that means ending the AutoCAD session through Task Manager. We have tried the same file on different PCs on the network with the same results. Our current workround is to insert the problem file into an "empty" dwg but we would be grateful to know what could cause this for future use of the 3rd party app. One possible clue is the $ACADVER of the dxf is AC1006.
