Error 1606 when installing AutoCAD 2004

    Can anyone suggest a solution to error 1606 that I receive when trying to install the Network License manager or network installation wizard. The error reads as follows: Error 1606 - Could not access network location G\. Thank you for any help...

    Issue


    You install the Autodesk software product through Group Policies by
    assigning the installation package to a Microsoft® Windows® 2000 computer.
    When you restart the computer, the product is not installed and there are
    errors in the Windows Event Viewer. The MSI log file includes this error
    message:

    Error 1606. Could not access network location Autodesk\AutoCAD
    2004\R16\enu\.

    Solution


    This issue occurs when you attempt to install AutoCAD® 2004 through a group
    policy object that is assigned to a computer running the Windows® 2000
    operating system.

    Download this Update to resolve this issue.
