I have a user that is receiving the following error code when starting a networked version of AutoCAD 2002.....[1.5,-14]. All others in the office are getting a license.

  2. Christian, Autodesk products licensed with FLEXlm do not use ACADSERVER,
which was used with legacy licensing technologies. FLEXlm licensed Autodesk
use the ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE variable name. Search the Autodesk knowledge
base for this variable name for the proper syntax of this variable.

John, your problem is more likely a name resolution or port problem. Check
the debug log file on your license server(s) for a hit from this
workstation. If it is not there first try pinging the license server(s); if
ping fails or returns the wrong IP address you found your problem. If ping
works look for a firewall blocking our ports.

Thanks for checking in. It turned out to be adware clogging the port. The dreaded -12 error in disguise. Just a small blog on the chain of events....the original error was the -14 then I removed the licpath.lic file and the error changed to -12. Funny, because all my machines are running with the env. var. Oh well, chalk another one up to experience.
