when using the "dtext" command, if you create two lines of text, you have
created two object entities. if i run a selection set with a filter for
dtext, will these two object always be next to each other in the selection
set? if not, is there anyway to rearrange or sort the selection set based
    on object entity creation?

    Thanks!

You just have to pick them one at a time in the order that you want them.
Odd thing is, if you widowed the two, they are ordered in reverse of their
    creation order.

so if i were to do a "select all" with a filter for text objects, the
objects would be in reverse order within the selection set? i'm trying to
get away from selecting the objects one at a time...

    Thanks!

You got it. I wish it were different, but think about what happens when you
make a block with atts and you just window the selection...no particular att
order. Another problem is that even if they were next to each other, you
can't rely on the creation order. Suppose the first one was replaced with a
copy? If you can consistenly expect that two text items will be next to each
other, you might try having the user select the first and then go down a set
distance and programmatically select the next...and so on. In essence, you
would have to replicate the user selecting them one at a time.
