English to Chinese?

    I expect to be doing some contract design work with a company in China that
    uses AutoCAD (version unknown), on PC platforms (Windows, version unknown)
    My question is, can they read and edit my AutoCAD 2000 dwgs, and vice versa,
    if they are sent back and forth on the internet (not the English-Chinese
    text parts of course, but will they be able to open and modify the vector
    info? Anybody done this before? Any special translators needed from
    AutoDesk? TIA
