End to all plot confusion???

    Let me get this straight.

There are (basically) TWO variables if you are using a plotter with a roll.

    1. Orientation

    2. Length of paper to be rolled out at given width (24, 36, etc.)

So why is it when I go to print, I have to sift through all of the possible standards, and envelope sizes that exist? And when I find one, I still have trim the borders.

    There should be two options.

    What orientation, and what length.

I realize this isn't the case if I am using sheet paper.

Are there any settings/software where I can completely do away with standard sheet sizes?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Yes you can turn off any unwanted virtual paper sizes. <plot device>
<properties> <filter paper size> and uncheck any not needed.
