    Hi,

Like others before, I am trying to get Realview to work. It is still
greyed out and I have tried everything on this board to enable
Realview without success. Anyone with an FX 500 who can help me?

    SW 2004 SP0
    FX 500
    53.03 Driver
    786 MB RAM
Shader directory present (so I'm assuming it's installed)
Re-installed SW after present card was installed

    Thanks,
    mj

Ok. I created a simple part and gave it a material. The 'Visual
Properties' box is open and 'Advanced Graphics' is checked with the
RealView radio buttom greyed out. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks,

Yes, I have tried this with both the certified drivers and the latest
driver set from the Nvidia site and still no success. In addition,
the OpenGL Extension viewer I use to check the card reports that all
OpenGL rendering tests pass. Why doesn't Solidworks see my card as
    being realview compatible?

    Thanks

  4. Under Tools menu make sure Large assembly mode is not selected.
I had this happen to me and for some reason SWX switches off Realview when this
    setting is enabled
Why in hell I hear you may ask? ... how long is a piece of string?
For the life of me I cannot figure why some of this stuff is like it is!

    Steam venting valve now closing.

    Thanks,

I have set the 'Automatically activate Large Assembly Mode' to Never
in System Opions and have checked the Use RealView Graphics checkbox
in the same menu. Realview is still greyed out when I assign a
material to a simple part. Boy .. this is frustrating. Any other
    suggestions to activating Realview?

    Thanks

I just ran into the same problem on my home computer. I had SW2004 loaded
originally on this machine and realview worked fine. I completely
uninstalled SW2004 (sweeped the registry also) and then loaded SW2005. But
now, I can't turn realview on.

nVidia GeForce4 Ti 4600 (I know its not that great, but it worked in the
    past)

I am going to ask a simple question, do you have software OpenGL
turned off? If not, this will cause Realview to fail. It requires
the hardware OpenGL on the card to work properly.
