"EDUCATIONAL" watermark on printing

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Benjamin Steele, Jul 7, 2003.

  1. Hi all,

I have experienced quite a dilemma recently. My company makes vast use of
    AutoCAD 2000 and 2002LT.

We have experienced a problem, whereby we've accepted a drawing that
contains the watermark "THIS PRODUCT WAS CREATED WITH AN AUTODESK
    EDUCATIONAL PRODUCT".

My company owns legitimate licenses to the Full Edition of ACAD 2000 and the
LT Edition of ACAD 2002. I have contacted AutoDesk resellers for help,
however they were both arrogant and wanted to charge for the opportunity
just to LISTEN to my problem.

I have had many important drawing contaminated -> like a virus!, with this
watermark and it makes my company appear very unprofessional.

Can anybody help me with a method to erradicate this Watermark from my
important and expensive documents? Is there a patch file that I can obtain?

Thanks for any help you can offer - Best regards,

    Ben.

Yea, like none. You think Ms. Bartz reads every letter addressed PERSONAL? I
    don't think so.

To the original poster, your problem was started when you accepted a drawing
from an unknown source. Get rid of this drawing and any drawing it has been
in contact with (you DO have backups don't you?).

Why not try it? My experience is that it does bring results.

Most likely -- none of them unless passed on by an assistant.

If your letter is about piracy or an educational copy being used
commercially then your letter is autodesk politically correct and will
be acted upon. An assistant can handle that.

If your letter is not autodesk politically correct then it's likely
that you will be ignored. Remember all the forced upgrade complaints
that went unanswered? Complain about treatment by autodesk employees
and you are likely to get even more crap dumped on your head.

It's ALL about them, it **AIN'T** about you, or me, or any other user.
Get used to it. That's the way it's been for some time, and not
likely to change in the immediate future. Most unfortunate.
