Editing Menu

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Paul Jamieson, Jul 14, 2004.

  1. I am running AutoCAD 2005 in MDI mode. When all drawings are closed there
is a menu stub that is displayed. I need to edit the New menu pick from
this menu stub or is there a way to leave a custom menu behind when all
    drawings are closed?

    Paul,
What you are seeing there is not a 'menu' at all. When all drawings are closed, in MDI (sdi 0) mode, the 'menu' area of memory is cleared. Even if you 'menuload' and 'menucmd' a pop menu - before you close all drawings, that pop menu will disappear as well.

  3. Thank you Bob. Is there anyway to customize this area? I would like to
    change the New command.

I could be wrong, but I don't think you can change this 'stub menu'. I think it is internally compiled in the acad.exe..
